WHAT IS THE 4-DAY BRAIN GYM® COURSE?

The course will explore ways of integrating left and right brain hemispheres using Brain Gym® , leading to greater ease in activities involving crossing the midline to enhance academic skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening), physical skills as well as reducing your stress levels and improving your self-esteem and confidence.

The course gives you the opportunity to learn all 26 Brain Gym ® activities which you will be able to use on their own or in the context of a balance. You will begin to experience improvements in a wide range of skills in areas such as communication, organisation, comprehension, physical co-ordination and emotional development.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

  • The history of Brain Gym ®
  • All 26 Brain Gym ® activities and how to use them
  • The theory behind the Brain Gym ® activities.
  • The 5-step Brain Gym ® balance process.
  • How to use noticing and muscle checking during a balance.
  • Goal setting techniques.
  • Repatterning the brain and body.
  • Understanding and integrating the 3 dimensions of the brain.
  • Using Brain Gym ® for personal development and in the work setting.
  • Opportunities to experience Brain Gym ® personally and to practise with others.
  • An understanding of the concepts underlying Educational Kinesiology and Brain Gym®

WHO IS IT DESIGNED FOR?

The course is suitable for anyone wishing to enhance and expand their personal and professional life, whether they are in education (classroom teachers, SEN teachers, teaching assistants), the caring profession (kinesiologists, therapists, doctors, nurses, residential carers), commerce, industry, the performing arts or the home. It is also valuable for those wanting to help family and friends.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

Standard rate: £450 per place, paid by start of course.
Repeater rate: £230
Multiple places: 2 or more places booked from one Establishment:
£425 per place, paid by start of course
Deposit to reserve a place: £50 (non-refundable)

WHERE IS THE COURSE HELD?

The venue for the 4 Day Brain Gym® 101 Course with either be held at Bournemouth University, Talbot Campus, Bournemouth or the Broadstone Community and Arts Centre, Broadstone, Dorset

WHAT DO I NEED FOR THE COURSE?

Bring pens, pencils, notepaper (manuals and worksheets will be provided).   Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but bring a packed lunch or have lunch at one of the University cafés.  Wear comfortable casual clothing.
